Each successful use extends the boost duration by 7 or 10 minutes (for Experience or Item Boosts) or 15 minutes (all others). I don't save candy corn anymore, personally, and just buy it when I want to do this (maybe every 9-12 months for me), because it takes up a lot of inventory space and I don't really want to dedicate an entire character's inventory to candy corn.
